June 9, 2021 – city of Tver. During a scheduled trip to the Tver Region, Sergei Shoigu, the Russian Defence Minister, had a tour over the production facilities of KSC Industrial & Technological Park (Promtechnopark) and saw the products of its residents.
During the tour, the head of the Ministry of Defence visited the existing workshops of the new industrial and technological park in the Tver Region, where a wide range of components for transport engineering is produced. The Minister also saw the samples of products of the companies - residents of KSC Industrial & Technological Park; those products were developed and manufactured for various types of transport, including in the framework of import substitution projects. Sergei Shoigu highly appreciated the production potential of the Industrial & Technological Park, which currently features eight up-to-date production facilities with a total personnel of more than a thousand people.
The project of KSC Industrial Technology Park was launched in 2018. At the end of 2020, the first stage of the production line was launched there. During 2021, the Industrial & Technological Park will be provided with all the necessary production and auxiliary infrastructure. More than 3.5 billion roubles have already been invested in the project. The total planned volume of investments makes more than 5 billion roubles; the project team has announced introduction of 19 residents and creation of up to 3,000 jobs by the end of 2024. The range of components produced by the residents of the Industrial & Technological Park for transport is to exceed 300 items.
“In the years to come, the Industrial & Technological Park will become a large-scale competence centre for production of components and assemblies for transport and an important part of the innovative cluster of transport engineering in the Tver Region. I am sure that this will enable us to bring the projects related to import substitution to a new level,” Taras Spivak, General Director of KSC Group of Companies, said during the visit.
