Transcon, part of Climate Control Equipment Division of KSC Group, has launched serial production of two models of air conditioners for wheel transport and special-purpose vehicles.
The first unit is designed for large class passenger buses and can be equipped with an integrated air sanitizer system if required. The second model is a universal unit, which, depending on the configuration, can be installed on a wide range of vehicles, including light commercial vehicles, small class buses and special equipment.
The equipment enables to ensure optimal or specified microclimate parameters in the vehicle cabin. The products are completed with subcomponents mass produced by KSC Group, including heat-exchange equipment. The climate systems fully comply with the general requirements in terms of resistance to mechanical stress during operation, have a compact shape and are highly resistant to chemical reagents.
The production line for climate control systems for wheel transport was organized in the new workshop in KSC Group Industrial Technopark in Tver. The production site has an area of 6,000 sq. m and employs 50 people.
Design and engineering solutions for air conditioners were developed by the engineering service of Climate Control Equipment Division at KSC Group. The systems have successfully passed the approval tests and the tests as part of transport. At the moment, the monthly production volume of climate systems for buses and special equipment makes 100 items of each model. By late 2023, there are plans to double the production volume of each model and expand the lines of climate systems for the automotive industry.
