KSC Group Expands the Fleet of Blank Production Equipment in Tver

In Tver, KSC Metallkomplekt (KSC MK, a part of Blank Production Division within KSC Group) has put into operation a new line of hi-tech equipment for processing of metals and non-metallic materials. The new capacities will enable to increase the output of componentry for locomotive-hauled passenger coaches. The project of upgrading the equipment fleet has been implemented using a loan from the federal Industrial Development Fund.

Brought into operation at the production site of KSC MK have been four cutting laser systems, and two high-speed milling machining centers that focus on aluminum processing, and a plotter for cutting of non-metallic materials. Four bandsaw machines and two high-performance circular saws have been launched in the machining area, and installation of two lathe machining centers is currently underway.

Since August 2023, a total of 53 units of cutting-edge high-performance systems and machines have been put into operation in the scope of the project. The overall project investment will amount to RUB 2.5 billion, with RUB 2 billion as a soft loan already granted by the Industrial Development Fund. The project implementation will additionally create 75 new jobs.

Over the course of upgrading the existing equipment fleet at the cutting and blank production area of KSC MK, the plans for the next two years include acquisition of 14 new cutting laser systems, two turret punch presses, four sheet bending presses, and one through-feed stripping unit. The new equipment is intended for all the processes at KSC MK and will be used to manufacture a wide range of items for the rolling stock.
